No North Pole + No Sony = Bad Christmas

I'm going to cover two news headlines today. Let's get to the first one. According to livescience.com, the Arctic sea ice could break apart completely at the North Pole this year. This potential thaw of the North Pole would be the first time ever in human history that the North Pole would be ice-free. Now, if this does not confirm the fact that Global Warming is happening, then I have to seriously question your judgment. Naysayers, just stop the bull right now. You can't hide it anymore. Literally, you can't hide it -- THE DAMN NORTH POLE IS MELTING INTO OBLIVION! But, of course, the Bush Administration continues to do nothing about it, so I guess, in the words of George Carlin, "WE'RE SO F***ING DANDY!" about the issue. So much for saving the planet. Click on the title of this post to go to the livescience.com article.

And here's the second thing I wanted to cover -- Late last night, Sony released their 2008 annual budget report, which detailed how they LOST 3.3 BILLION DOLLARS on the PlayStation 3!!! Yes -- that's not a misspelling; it really is billions. Can you believe this? How did Sony fall this far from grace? They owned the 6th generation of video games with their PlayStation 2, but now, they find themselves stumbling just to present a sound fiscal report for the PS3. How could you let this happen? Oh, I know...YOU START CHARGING $399 to $599 for one of your consoles! For God's sake, it's cheaper to get a computer than it is to get a PS3! Sony...shame on you. I have no sympathy for Sony. They dug their own grave as far as I'm concerned. (Though, I would still like to get a PS3...would love to see a Blu-Ray DVD...)
